Biscuit has become totally accustomed to being a kayak dog. Who would have guessed such an active dog would be so calm in such a small boat?

Biscuit got fed up with me messing with the fish and jumped out and decided to go for a little swim. After I released my fish she happily swam back to me to get back in the kayak and continue our adventure

Here is your Monday dose of Biscuit the fishing coonhound. This little pup has come to love our kayaking adventures, possibly even more than I do

Monday’s are rough! Particularly after a weekend as nice as the one we just had. The little hound and I escaped away last evening and kayaked/fished a new lake. She is remarkably calm in the kayak and didn’t mind at all when I caught fish. It is amazing how happy this dog is to do anything as long as I am with her

Monday’s are always rough, so here are a few pictures of Biscuit from the adventures we went on last week. We did a lot of exploring around the state during the weekend and found some gorgeous places to hike and fish. She is a great outdoors companion and doesn’t mind the long drives at all. By the end of the weekend we both were totally worn out and ready for some well deserved rest.

Overtime is over!

I celebrated the end of overtime by going on a long creek wading adventure with my pup this weekend. It was nice to disappear into the woods after living in cubicle for a month. We hiked further than this little hound ever had before. This was first time I’ve worn her out enough that she layed down while we were outside

We hiked and fished for most of the day and I managed to land my 100th species of fish on hook and line. It made for a great end of the month and one very worn out dog

I forgot my Monday Biscuit picture! This overtime thing keeps getting me distracted. Biscuit has really started to step it up in regards of training for hunting season. She is starting to figure out the commands for when she can run after prey and when she is being called off. I can’t wait for the first season to open and test her skills. Other than that we have been hiking a lot and enjoying the fickle spring weather. I couldn’t ask for a better outdoors companion
